Jubilee Christian School
Imagine your child in a Kindergarten class with 8-10 other students exploring the world of animals. The students pick one animal to study individually and many as a group. By looking at one subject, the students learn many.
Beginning in the Bible they learn what God says (spirituality), they count animals (math), they read many books (phonics and reading), sing songs (music), discover how animals develop (science), investigate where different animals live (geography), research their animal (technology and library), give oral reports (public speaking), create poster board reports (art and handwriting), go to the zoo for a special class and to a working dairy farm (real life and field experiences). Yes, this is Kindergarten!
We do this every month in every grade (Kindergarten through Sixth) with a different subject (Civil War, Magnets, Space, Ponds, Community, Oceans, and more). Our curriculum keeps students learning in a hands-on, proactive, how-does-this-fit into the world approach. What an exciting way to learn!
