At Jubilee, 2012-2013 marks our 25th Anniversary of providing students with an exemplary education and enduring values rooted in the gospel of Jesus Christ. For Jubilee families, our Silver Anniversary has been a time for looking back at the history of our kindergarten-through-sixth grade program . . . and for looking ahead. What better time to announce our expansion to seventh grade?!
Our Strategic Planning Committee has spent many months studying the feasibility of adding seventh grade in 2013-2014 . . . after recent approval by the Board of Trustees, the Committee is now laying the groundwork for the addition. Much work will be done over the next several months to ensure that the same high standards that Jubilee was founded upon in 1987 are upheld as we move forward. We’re committed to creating a middle school environment and curriculum for our sixth and seventh graders that includes the best of our K-5 program, while taking into account the transformational nature of middle school academic, social and spiritual development.
The integrated approach to learning, which is the backbone of the Jubilee curriculum, will extend to our seventh grade program. This method of instruction aligns with our belief that God is central to all. Therefore, middle school instruction will continue its Christ-centeredness by connecting instruction and disciplines conceptually, as well as thematically. The result is learning that is meaningful and applicable to the everyday lives of our learners. Authentic learning is further extended by monthly field experiences and projects.
At Jubilee, teaching is a mission, not simply a career. Each of our certified teachers is a committed Christian who brings faith and a passion for learning into the classroom. Jubilee teachers partner with parents in order to provide our learners with an exemplary education.
We encourage you to call or schedule a visit to learn more about our kindergarten-though-seventh grade educational program!
